Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with change, both from the perspective of an organization and on the individual level. A somewhat ambiguous term, change management has at least three different aspects, including: adapting to change, controlling change, and effecting change. A proactive approach to dealing with change is at the core of all three aspects. For an organization, change management means defining and implementing procedures or technologies to deal with changes in the business environment and to profit from changing opportunities. Everything keeps on changing with a passage of time. The article examines the problematic areas of management aspects of change, taking place in the present scenario. It is posing a great challenge and often creates a 'grim-situation' for the people, who belong to different strata of society. Keeping in view the present situation, it become imperative to manage the change in a judicious way, so that every phase of 'change' may be managed in accordance with changing conditions. It requires a right strategy and planning for changing the attitude of the people, social belief, despotism, social responsibility at an individual as well as at 'community' level. It also require the change of attitude of business community towards profit and business, physical environment, equal opportunity and equal treatment shifting in emphasis from technology to humanism etc. In order to mollify the ‘conflicting situation’ created by change should be managed in a judicious way, so that desired results may be achieved to overcome the challenging situation of ‘change’ in the changing scenario.
