Abstract

Although deterrence is important for conventional warfare but it is the most important as far as nuclear weapons are concerned. It is one of the situations in which war can be avoided. But this situation only comes when both opposite countries or groups of countries have the capability to harm each other. In such a position all warring nations themselves know about the effect or war. Near about equal level of weapons are required for deterrence. If a country has upper hand in her weaponry system to her opponent then there will be no deterrence.
