Abstract

Some brands fail because it’s their fate as they fail to live up to the expectations of the customers, some die as they grow old and lose their shine with time and competition, while some brands fail because they lag behind in latest and updated technology or other political issues, also many Indian brands are eaten up by MNC’s as well but some brands are intentionally killed to give way to parent company’s brand that is to be launched yet in the arena or acquired brands to be re-positioned or planned Line or Brand Extensions. Also it may happen that a particular brand died and never revived or a brand initially died but had a rebirth at mercy of the company. The rules are changing and so is the game.
