Abstract

This paper highlights the impact of globalization on Indian capital market. The economic reforms were taken place in 1992 in India which paved the way for the development of Indian capital market. Before first general economic reform, there was no Over the Counter Trade facility, online trading system, basket trading system, security exchange board of India. But globalization came with new an era for the capital market. The reforms were taken with the objectives of improving market efficiency, regulatory framework, transparent system and preventing unfair practices. This paper attempts to highlight the impact of globalization on capital market with special reference to India.
