DETERMINANTS OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING AMONG PRIVATE SECTOR EMPLOYEES: EVIDENCE FROM PAKISTAN

Knowledge is being considered as one of the most important drivers of the economy today and shall continue to be so in future. Knowledge is constantly generated throughout an organization. Knowledge sharing is an engine that transforms knowledge into business value. To be successful and remain competitive, companies must ensure that knowledge is shared in the most effective manner. The Purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the perceptions of private sector employees in Pakistan towards the importance of knowledge sharing and identify the initiatives that may encourage the knowledge sharing activities in organizations. The perceptions of employees have been solicited by using a questionnaire survey method. A total of 200 questionnaires have been distributed randomly to the private sector employees in the northern part of Punjab. Descriptive statistics has been used to estimate the results.
