CHALLENGES BEFORE FERTILIZER SECTOR IN INDIA

Abstract

The present paper provides a basic overview of fertilizer sector and the major challenges it is currently facing. The paper analyzes the trends of investment, capacity, production, import and consumption of various fertilizers product wise and nutrient wise. The fertilizers sector requires immediate reforms to cope up the current challenges and both fertilizer industry and farmers are eagerly waiting for it.
