The main challenge in front of mankind is productionof large amount of food supply for ever growing population. The environment is changing its nature and more adverse conditions will be predicted.This is a challenging situation for scientist to find out new genotypes of food crops which can dapt themselves according to changing nature. But the supply of genotypes is limited and hence the only source variation is brought about by cossing the avalable genotypes with each other. Sorghm is the most suitable crop which can adapt to future climatic conditions of drought and stll able to provide food supply. It can also tolerate to high saline conditions.
