The twenty first century is witnessing not only the maturing of the Anthropocene epoch but also the fermentation of political, cultural, racial, and religious differences into an ever-present volatile situation. The geological history of earth suggests that so many times our earth has undergone devastation of life and returning of life onto it new forms. Earlier they were due to astronomical events. This time the existential crisis is man-made. Two major things that haunt humanity today are- the prospect of ecological breakdown and catastrophe of war. Both are not new but so much have they grown in size and frequency that they can’t be overlooked anymore. Environmentalist, scientists, writers, poets, and public figures across the world have been raising the issues from time to time.
