IMPACT OF ORGANISATIONAL STRESS ON INTENTION TO LEAVE THE JOB AMONG IT/ ITES PROFESSIONALS

Abstract

IT/ITes sector is often known as “sunshine Sector” in India. The integral part of work environment of IT/ITes sector is work pressure, customer interactions, shift basis work, target completion and work overload. The work environment of IT/ITes sector leads to stress among the employees. The present study analyses the impact of organisational stressors on intention to leave the job among IT/ITes employees. A sample of 100 responses collected through self structured questionnaire survey. The study analysed through percentage and regression analysis. The study found that positive relationship between intention to leave and organisational stressors like role overload, organisational climate, role conflicts, relationship with employees and management.
