PACKAGED TOURS AS A FUNCTION OF TOURIST SATISFACTION- A CASE STUDY OF FOREIGN TOURISTS VISITING AGRA

Abstract

A packaged tour secures a significant share in tourism volume for a destination. Being an important component of increased tourist arrival and revisits, the appropriate appreciation and recognition of the existence of packaged tour and the pre arranged services at the destination, is missing. For any destination, tourist satisfaction has been discussed a pivotal factor to draw a positive destination image and create word of mouth publicity. A positive destination image and word of mouth publicity can be sustained with satisfied tourists for the services offered at the destination. The present study is an effort to measure the impact of packaged tour services on overall satisfaction of foreign tourists visiting Agra. A comparative study of satisfaction levels has been done between two groups of foreign tourists travelling Agra on a packaged tour and travelling without a packaged tour. To determine the fact, that the packaged tours, as a function of foreign tourists’ satisfaction for the destination Agra.
