A STUDY ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF CLARIS LIFESCIENCES DURING THE PRE AND POST FDI PERIOD

Abstract

Foreign direct investment (FDI) is defined as an investment involving a long-term relationship and reflecting a lasting interest and control by a resident entity in one economy. Foreign direct investment is an Investment made by an entity resident in one economy in an enterprise resident in another economy that is made with the objective of obtaining a lasting interest. The objective of the study is to analyse the Liquidity, Profitability and Asset management Performance of Claris Lifesciences. Scope of the study is to analyse the Pre and Post FDI Financial Performance of Claris Lifesciences. The company has received FDI Inflow in the year 2013 and the analysis made on Pre FDI and Post FDI Period. From the year 2007-08 to 2011-12 is considered as pre FDI period and from the year 2012-13 to 2016-17 as post-FDI period for the present study. From the analysis of the liquidity position of Claris Lifesciences, it is observed that the average ratios have improved from pre FDI period to post FDI period. But the average profitability ratios are observed to be reduced during post- FDI period when compared to pre FDI period.
