Recent years have witnessed a marked development in the field of science and technology which has affected us both in positive as well as negative ways. Despite all the advancements provided by present era, the most important area of concern still has been the human health. Increased industrial effluents, automobile usage and use of pesticides have taken its toll on the environment (Cheirsilpn & Louhasakul, 2012; Jun et al., 2012; Chiron et al., 2011). As a result, all the three basic requirements of human beings i.e., water; air and soil have been heavily contaminated (Huang et al., 1997; Gorai et al., 2011; Karadag et al., 2011). All these changes in the natural environment have disturbed the cellular homeostasis of man which deteriorated his health.
