Abstract

According to the World Health Organization there are about 314 million visually impaired people in the world out of which about 45 million are blind. There are all some existing systems such as screen reader captures the activities of the user and the users application(s) that normally result in updates to the screen, but this system where the screen layout/tab order is not particularly easy to navigate and extract the data. So proposed system provides visually challenged user, a facility to read the system files and content on web in the form of speech and bridge the gap between the sighted and the unsighted community. our system has automatic speech recognizer that will allow blind users to navigate a web page through speech commands. It also provides mail reading facility to the blind users. The users can easily listen to the news in indian accent from different formats of websites.
