Abstract
Cashew / Cashewnut has gained status of commercial crop from that of a forest component through technological advancements with respect to propagation, production and management. This has been possible as a result of increasing demand for raw cashew nuts and enhanced interest for its commercialization. It is the most widely grown cash crop throughout the world.
