Hand written signature remains one of the most commonly used and widely accepted for authentication of an individual’s identity. The present study deals with 100 signature samples, collected for Verification on the basis of individual characteristics. Out of 100 samples 50 were genuine signature and 50 suspected samples which were imitated by practiced hands. In the present study an attempt is made to provide an effective method of identification of the imitated signature on the basis of their stroke sequence as strokes are as one of the most important feature, for the verification of a genuine signature, and none of the other dynamic information can be recovered without the strokes. This work is focused on the recovery of stroke and other characteristics like slant, tremor, speed, pressure, caliber, proportion, and ratio.
