STUDY ON AWARENESS ABOUT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN BANKING SECTOR

Abstract

In the world of banking and finance nothing stands still. Banking industry is fast growing with the use of technology in the form of ATMs, on-line banking, Telephone banking, Mobile banking etc., plastic card is one of the banking products that cater to the needs of retail segment has seen its number grow in geometric progression in recent years. This growth has been strongly supported by the development of in the field of technology, without which this could not have been possible of course it will change our lifestyle in coming years. This research is the combination of exploratory and descriptive research. The primary data was collected with the help of structured questionnaire and we also took the data from the secondary resources. The present research is based on analyzing the factors influencing mode of banking and customer perception on usage and adaptability of IT. After collection of data, it is analyzed by using different statistical techniques including frequency distribution, reliability statistics, chi-square test, and factor analysis. The results of the study showed that People feel Internet banking as a platform of convenience. Customers are not forced to go to banks for payments and they do feel comfortable in online Banking. Most of the people are aware of the utmost utilization of technology since they have now confidence towards safety.
