Abstract

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is a backbone of Pune’s public transport system. It tries to satisfy the commuters’ requirements through its employees and buses. The buses can be repaired or bought as per the requirement. But the mindset of the employees has to be positive, if available services need to be reached to the end users. Negative minds always create problem for the given solution. Well defined and implemented Human Resource Policies normally help the organizations to make better use of available human resources. PMPML being the public enterprise should have such policies and practices. However, through the primary interaction with the employees it’s found that there is lack of such well defined policies and practices.
