DETERMINATION OF FE (III) IN DRUG SAMPLES WITH 3-HYDROXY-3-PHENYL-1-P-TOLYLTRIAZENE

Abstract

Hydroxytriazenes have been established as a new reagent for spectrophotometric and complexometric determination of metal ions in solutions. The present paper describes complexometric determination of Fe (III) using 3-Hydroxy-3-phenyl-1-p-tolyltriazene (HPpTT) as metallochromic indicator in six medicines- Fecontin F, Globac Active, Richglobin, Rozifer, Tofe and Zyrob AF. Determination of Fe (III) was done by back titration method.
