Abstract

Economic reforms, including globalization of Indian economy, during 1991, have been a great challenge to project finance institutions in India. Prior to economic reforms, three such government of India managed institutions, namely, Industrial development bank of India (IDBI), Industrial credit and investment corporation of India (ICICI), and Industrial finance corporation of India (IFCI) were in operation for about three decades
