The Indian automobile industry is one of the largest industry in the world. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has been the leader of Indian car market over two and half decades. Maruti was established in February 1981. It is public limited company that belongs to the automotive industry.This study has been undertaken to understand the internal strengths and weaknesses as well as the external opportunities and threats of the Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Trend analysis has been used to analyze the sales of Maruti Suzuki India Limited for the period of 5 years (2013 to 2017). The study has concluded that MSIL is indeed a strong company that contributes the major part of share in the automobile industry. It has been suggested that the company should try to enter into the global market at a wider scope by introducing innovative products with the best technologies to overcome competition.
