LOCALE AND GENDER DIFFERENCE IN THE ATTITUDE OF D.EL.ED TEACHER TRAINEES TOWARDS YOGA

Abstract

The focus of the present study was to examine the locale and gender difference in the attitude towards yoga for sample of 106 D.El.Ed teacher trainees of Meerut city (U.P.). ‘Yoga Attitude Scale’ was administered to present teacher trainees sample which developed by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Muchhal. As a result there is a significant difference in the attitude towards yoga of male and female teacher trainees. Trainees from urban background have more favourable attitude towards yoga than their counterpart of rural background. It would be appropriate to conclude that need to awareness of yoga among female and rural background trainees. The present study has implication for educationist, guidance worker and health concerned professionals.
