Abstract

The mean amplitudes of vibration of XeOF2, a new example of a Xe(IV) compound, were calculated from recently reported spectroscopic and structural data in the temperature range between 0 and 500 K. The re¬sults are compared with those of related species and the bond peculiari¬ties of the molecule are also briefly discussed. Its thermodynamic func¬tions were also determined, using the rigid rotator/harmonic oscillator approximation.
