KNOWLEDGE DRIVEN BUSINESS EDUCATION IN THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL IN INDIA

Abstract

The purpose of this paper to understand the awareness and relevance of Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives in the management institutes/ B-Schools affiliated to a state university in West Bengal. It also identifies and establishes the role and significance of the Key Strategic and Personal Enablers in successful implementation of the KM initiatives. The methodology involves semi-structured interviews of 30 senior professors who have served in different management institutions and business schools affiliated to such a state university in West Bengal. The interview transcripts have been analyzed for key phrases/words categories and then have been examined for their frequencies. The finding from the study implies that future development in the management education though integration of their key processes with KM is a strategic requirement.
