PARTICIPATION OF RURAL WOMEN IN NON-FARMING SECTOR: A CASE STUDY FROM SHEKHAWATI REGION IN RAJASTHAN

Abstract

The present study is centred on Chirawa tehsil of Jhunjhunun district in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. The region is a leader in educational and employment sectors in the state, primarily due to the contribution of philanthropic entrepreneurs. The study aims to look at education and employment of rural women of Chirawa in non-farm sector, and to assess their contribution to the household economy.
