Abstract

Amitav Ghosh’s novels in general implicitly suggest the need for coexistence and strong humanitarian ties across cultures overlooking personal, regional and political considerations. His novels establish his commitment to a broadly defined secular-humanistic frame of values Ghosh chronicles the loss.
