Abstract

Rural development as an integral part ofcountry’s socio-economic development. The goal ofrural development is the enrichment of the qualityof human life in rural areas accompanied by filling the rural-urban gap through provision of all amenities.The national policy and programs for a successfulrural development task should aim at diversificationof economic activities, minimizing the dependence ofrural households on agriculture and bringing about asignificant increase in the share in both output andemployment of allied activities, rural industries,business and service components of the ruraleconomy.
