AWARENESS ON WEB 2.0 EDUCATIONAL TOOLS AND RESOURCES AMONG PRE- SERVICE AND IN-SERVICE SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

Abstract
The term web 2.0 is now mostly used for a second generation of World Wide Web enabling the people to collaborate and share information online. The emergence of web 2.0 technology plays a pivotal role in altering the mode of student’s communication, collaboration and engaging in effective discussion and debate as a way of teaching and learning. The objective of the study is to analyze the awareness on web 2.0 resources for educational practices among in-service and pre- service secondary school teachers. Sample selected for the study is 204 in-service and pre-service secondary school teachers from Malappuram district of Kerala. The sample distributed 100 pre-service teachers (50 male and female each) and104 in-service secondary school teachers (52 male and female each).
