Abstract

Authentic leadership brings together the concept of authenticity with positive psychology. It is a process that draws from both positive psychological capacities and a highly developed organizational context, which results in both greater self-awareness and self-regulated positive behaviors on the part of leaders and associates, fostering positive self-development. Now along with Authentic leadership, Work Wellbeing also plays a central role in creating flourishing societies. Focusing on wellbeing at work can benefit societies by helping working individuals to feel happy, competent and satisfied in their roles. The objective of the study was to find the relationship between Authentic leadership and Work Well Being. The sample of the study consisted of 30 Retired Army Officers working in corporate at managerial positions. Authentic Leadership was measured by Authentic Leadership Questionnaire created by Walumbwa and associates (2008). Workplace Wellbeing Questionnaire developed at Black Dog Institute (2003) was used for measuring work well being. Findings revealed that Authentic relationship is positively correlated with work well being.
