SOCIO-CULTURAL IMPACT: A STUDY ON THE BEHAVIOR OF MOBILE PHONE USERS OF MADHYA PRADESH

Abstract

We are living in the era in which market are driven by customers choices. All companies are making their best efforts in influencing customer’s behavior in positive ways. Every leading brands of the world are easily available for consumers at competitive prices. Indian Mobile Phones market is no different; there is a ferocious competition among all leading companies. Consumer shows a high involvement decision making style when they purchase Mobile Handset. It is very important for companies to understand all different aspects consumer behaviors. The company needs to frame customer centric business strategies in order to win customer choices. Consumer buying is influenced by many factors. This study has been undertaken to address the impact of Social factors (Family influence, Reference group Influence) and cultural factors (Family Culture, Family Type) on purchase of mobile Handsets the study was under taken in for major cities of Madhya Pradesh approx five hundred respondents are interviewed through a structured questionnaire and responses of 400 are taken in to study. One way Anova and Independent t- Test was applied to the test the hypothesis. The research result confirms that buying behavior influence a great deal by above stated personal factors.
