Abstract

This paper explains the concept of ecological citizenship and its applicability in current scenario particularly for attaining sustainability and to deliberate how the features of ecological citizenship are feasible for “Sustainable Governance.” For that matter, this paper has dealt with several dimensions of ecological citizenship and earnestly tried to explain the interconnectedness of citizenship with environmental citizenship. It also makes a comparison between the conventional form of citizenship and environmental citizenship to prove that the conventional form of citizenshipcompletely missing or ignored the important issue of governance.
