EFFECT OF MOTHER’S EMPLOYMENT STATUS ON EDUCATIONAL ADJUSTMENT AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF ELEMENTARY STUDENTS OF DISTRICT RAMPUR

Abstract
The study investigates the effect of mother’s employment status on educational adjustment and academic achievement of elementary students of Rampur district. Mother’s employment status in this study focuses on educational adjustment and academic achievement of their children. This study is descriptive survey type in nature. It covered only for elementary level students from Rampur districts in UP state. Finding of the study suggest that boys and girls of working mothers differ significantly on educational adjustment, boys and girls of non-working mothers did not differ significantly on educational adjustment, boys of working and nonworking mothers did not differ significantly on educational adjustment, significant difference was observed in the educational adjustment of girls of working and nonworking mothers, significant difference between the educational adjustment of students of working and non-working mothers, boys and girls of working mothers differ significantly on academic achievement, boys and girls of non-working mothers did not differ significantly on academic achievement, boys of working and nonworking mothers differ significantly on academic achievement, significant difference was observed in the academic achievement of girls of working and nonworking mothers and students of working mothers and non-working mothers differ significantly in academic achievement.
