LAW AND ORGANIZATION TO CONTROL MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENTS IN AYURVEDIC DRUGS

Abstract

According to The Drugs and Cosmetics act and rules (DCA&R), 1940 Ayurvedic medicine is not mandatory to submit its safety and its effectiveness documents. Some Ayurvedic advertisement were found exaggerated claimed on their product’s quality and effectiveness without scientific proof for luring or misleading people to purchase. These luring is such as in Weight loss product, it is showing before and after taking the medicine visualization for misleading consumer.
