Vol -  5, Issue- 6 ,         Page(s) : 277 - 285  (2014 ) DOI : https://doi.org/10.32804/IRJMST

Abstract

Of concern the paper is a study of the electro-osmotic flow of blood flow through a microchannel comprising of two plates that are in a state of periodic vibrations. Blood here, taken as a fluid, micropolar in nature; so that the behaviour of platelets, cells and other microparticles can be estimated from the study of micropolar parameter. Debye-Hückel approximation is taken into account. Significant changes are observed for any variation in Reynolds number that claimed to be an important aspect for any design of bio-micro-fluidic-devices.
