Abstract

Cultural tourists feel that cultural tourism activities are effective in preserving culture and there is need to adopt effective measures in preserving culture. Goa is tiny emerald land on the west coast of India with its natural scenic beauty, attractive beaches and temples famous for its architecture, feasts and festivals and above all hospitable people with a rich cultural milieu, has an ideal tourist profile. The objectives of the study were to understand the theoretical and practical concept of cultural tourism in Goa and also to analyze the behavioural attributes of cultural tourists.
