Abstract

Edible oil manufacturing sector have an important role in economy of India. It's all skill edible oil manufacturing units wants to survive and prosper while facing the global competition, rapidly changing technology, changing likes of consumers and shifting demographics they need to have competitive pricing and marketing strategy is. But while implementing pricing and marketing strategies, edible oil Manufacturers are facing several challenges and problems. Attempt has been made to understand these challenges and problems through the study. The study highlights the opinions of edible oil Manufacturers regarding influencing factors in pricing and market related decisions. The study also focuses on the various sales forecasting methods followed by edible oil Manufacturers and problems arising due to lower sale of product. The results of the study shows that, small scale edible oil manufacturing unit owners are facing several problems and challenges in the implementation of pricing and marketing strategy.
