Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can be considered as an initiative by companies to assess and take responsibility for its effects on the environment and impact on social welfare and to promote social and environmental change in a positive manner. This can be understood as a give and take relationship as the corporate income is earned only from the society and therefore it should be given back in one way or the other. This CSR expenditure supports companies to build a positive image in the society.
