LEISURE AND RECREATION FACILITIES IN HUSSIAN SAGAR LAKE – A STUDY OF ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS.

Abstract

In 1562, Ibrahim Qutb Shah built Husain Sagar Lake, a large artificial lake, is the connecting point of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The Hussain Sagar Lake lies at the heart of the city. Due to its location, dominant presence in the urban setting, and its attraction as a large water body, it has the potential for development of a recreation and eco-tourism related opportunities.
