Abstract
ABSTRACT
Since time immemorial plants are being used for the treatment of different ailments in many parts of world by various communities. The present ethnobotanical study conducted in Jhunjhunu tehsil resulted in the information on the plants used in treatment of various diseases. For which about 24 plants species belonging to 16 families are used. Of these maximum species belongs to Euphorbiaceae with 4 species, apocynaceae with 3 species, 2 species to Mimosaceae, Moraceae and Rutaceae and 1 species to Fabaceae, Solanaceae, Meliaceae, Liliaceae, Papaveraceae, Nyctaginaceae, Capparaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Cyperaceae, Lamiaceae, and Amaranthaceae. Out of these 24 species on the basis of habit 10 belongs to herb, 8 tree and 6 shrubs species.
