MANAGEMENT OF EMOTIONS: A CONCEPT FOR COPING WITH EMOTIONS

Abstract

Management of Emotion refers to the ways in which people manage their emotions. Healthy emotion management is seen as being aware and accepting of your emotions, recognizing that emotions provide us with useful information about ourselves and our environment, and being able to engage in healthy and adaptive behaviors (for example, going to work daily, maintaining relationships with others etc.; even when we are experiencing high levels of distress and tensions. emotion management is actually a concept which comes from learning and experience. The person who learns art of controlling of emotions is called self-regulated and always explicitly focuses on ways of improving emotional acceptance and emotion regulation. It includes two terms basically- emotional labor and emotional intelligence using self-help. Actually managing or controlling emotions is a skill, more you practice, better you’ll get.
