LIMNOLOGICAL STUDY OF RIVER BARANDI OF KATIHAR DISTRICT (BIHAR)

Abstract

The article focuses on the different types of pollution in a river named Barandi situated at a walking distance from my in laws home. The district is katihar of the state Bihar. The place is a desolated village where the people find difficulties in different manners in their daily life. I have always tried to search for the reason behind the difficulties and many times i got shocking results. One of the main problems is the pollution and specifically water pollution. I visited the river nearby regularly and i found this Barandi river extremely polluted.
