MOOD STATES AMONG MALE AND FEMALE TEACHERS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess and compare different mood statesbetween female teachers and male teachers.Hundred male and female teachers (n = 100) were randomly selected as subjects (50 each female and male teachers) and their age ranged between 25-40 years. The data was collected by using the Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) developed by Terry et al. The data was analyzed by using group statistics and independent sample test. The results of the present study revealed that there was a significant difference obtained in the anger, confusion,depression, fatigue, tension and vigor between female and male teachers. The level of significance was set at 0.05.
