Abstract

The need of common standard accounting system has been felt for over last 3 decades and it is more relevant due to globalization. India planned IFRS implementation in phased manner from 2011. However the target dates could not be met. Though there are many aspects in favor of IFRS, these also bring in some challenges and problems.
