A STUDY OF PARENTAL ATTITUDE TOWARDS FEMALE PARTICIPATION IN SPORTS

Abstract

The female sports participation in Kashmir province is often observed to be less as compared to other parts of the country. In order to reveal various causes responsible for the same, the need for the study have been felt. Thereforethe purpose of the study was to find out the parental attitude towards participation in sports. The investigation prepared a questionnaire among various parents from both rural and urban areas of various districts of Kashmir province and later on collected the same from them to know their responses. Sixty eight subjects have been selected for the present investigation. Random sampling technique was used for the collection of data. In order to analyze the data, percentage and frequency method were applied to find out the percentage of parents (AGREE&DISAGREE) with the various statements of questionnaire for evaluation of parental attitude towards female participation in sports.
