Abstract

This Thesis aims at synthesis and analysis of carbon nano tubes for better electrical property like the Resistivity, using a certain synthesis method called Chemical Vapour Deposition Method (CVD) and providing insight about how the level of concentration and methods of mixing and synthesis affects the different properties of the carbon nanotubes composites.Carbon nano tube is a very wide area of research, where there are so many possibilities of finding its different character tics with different material.Carbon nano tube today is wide field of research of bio scientists, engineers and doctors, due is its amazing properties. Carbon nanotubes show a promising future for mankind. This thesis is carried out for determining the resistivity of a CNT composite mixed with phenol resin acting a fictionalization agent for composite under different mode of conditions. The nano tubes used in this research is multi walled nano tubes produced under CVD Method and also different methods are used for its characterization. Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).for calculating resistivity The samples were tested on Kaithley machine.
