MANAGEMENT OF MICRO SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES – ITS IMPACT ON EMPLOYMENT GENERATION AND GDP GROWTH

Abstract

Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) generate growth and development for the any economy. These enterprises are faced with diversity of problems in India due to numerous domestic and global economic problems, and policy inconsistencies. The results are a high poverty rate. The Objective of this review paper therefore is to critically utilize by these MSMEs and government of Indian as demonstration alternatives. The manufacturing sector’s contribution to national income till today remains low. Major findings of this paper are this sector contributes 8% of the country’s GDP, 45% of the manufactured output and 40% of its exports, the MSMEs also provide employment to about 6 crore persons through 2.6 crore enterprise, The geographic distribution of the MSMEs is also more even, The MSMEs have lack of management skill, poor record keeping, weak access to financial institutions, multiple taxation, and inconsistent policies.
