Abstract

Abstract In the present time, every country of the world faces numerous security challenges: internal and external. Apart from these, unequal distribution of the world’s natural resources is a long standing problem. Conflicts of all kind- Political, Economic, Social, Military- seem to be proliferating over oil, coal, gas, nuclear and biomass. Now-a-days, the focus is on securing new and continued supply of oil, coal and gas, building nuclear plants and even translating renewable into a massive exports system. Energy efficiency is accorded a lower priority, but transition away from fossil fuel is nowhere to be seen at all. An increase in world’s energy needs coupled with a decrease in available resources has created a trend that will lead to war and conflict. So, ensuring energy security is the key concern through sustainable energy initiatives in the entire world.
