CONTEMPORARY EMPLOYEE RETENTION MANAGEMENTPRACTICES IN PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS

    1 Author(s):  SANDEEP KHANNA

Vol -  5, Issue- 3 ,         Page(s) : 231 - 235  (2014 ) DOI : https://doi.org/10.32804/IRJMST

Abstract

The paper acentuates that the Public Sector Undertakings should adapt to trimming exercises in a selective manner and make efforts to retain, nurture and motivate their star performers, both managers and workers, who command high market value. This is one the greatest challenges for all organisations barring of course, a few monopolies and sick companies. There is, therefore, an imminent need for drawing RETENTION PLANS for the organization functioning in the competitive environment as a part of their manpower utilization programmes within the overall HRD policies.
