Abstract
Counselling takes place within a certain environment that influences what happens, both consciously and unconsciously. Many firms today realize the importance of attracting and retaining highly skilled, quality employees as a necessary component of their competitive advantage. One such tool that would help an organization in achieving the objective of maintaining competitive advantage is employee Counselling. A firm may gain competitive advantages from Employee Counselling activities especially if its reputation and image is valuable, rare and not easily imitated. This paper aims to look into the aspect of employee counselling and techniques employed by an organization. It also studies on the positive impacts that surfaces after the employee is counselled.
