Abstract

ABSTRACT This study delivers matters to consider and best rehearses for employing a tacticaldesign for the practice of social media in technical and scientific communication agendas. The author contends that social media can be used, implemented, and applied best when itstitleholders arethinking proactively, not just tactically. They notate that these approaches should be based on convincingexpectations about what students and handlers can subsidize to a curriculum that assimilatessocial media tools. Challenging prevalent assumptions about “digital natives,” the author appliespresent-day research on new literacy practices to delivertangiblenotions for integratingsocial media into core curriculum design.
