ABSTRACT Many people like to work upon different electronic devices controlling their work but the realities of time constraints, lack of knowledge and few rewards inevitably prevent them from making a start. The Arduino is the answer to all that. It is a development platform for standalone interactive objects for anyone to work with. This paper discusses why Arduino is the next big thing and what is the philosophy behind it.
